
A car was set on fire on Christmas Eve in York.
At around 10.35pm on December 24, the offender placed a green petrol container underneath a car parked on a drive in Chaloners Road, Dringhouses, and set it alight.
The fire service were called and extinguished the blaze quickly before it caused major damage. But police say the consequences could have been far more serious.
Detectives have carried out extensive inquiries in the area to locate the suspects are now appealing for the public’s help.

They want to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously, in particular anyone with a green container in the area of Chaloners Road on Christmas Eve.
