A car that drove the wrong way through Micklegate Bar failed to stop after crashing into a taxi.
Now police are trying to trace both car and driver.
It happened at around 9pm on Saturday, 2 April. Despite investigations the driver has yet to be identified.
First, a silver Volkswagen Polo was driven the wrong way out of Micklegate Bar in York.
Then, at the junction of Nunnery Lane, Micklegate and Blossom Street, it collided with a taxi.
Both vehicles were damaged in the crash, but the Polo driver then sped off along Blossom Street towards Tadcaster Road.
