A car left the A64 and overturned in a field this morning (Monday).
The white Fiat Panda was travelling on the westbound carriageway near Tadcaster at 9am when it crashed.
The driver of the vehicle was treated in hospital for minor injuries following the collision.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A lane was closed for a short time to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
“Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
“In particular, officers are appealing for any dash camera footage of the vehicle being driven prior to the collision or the collision itself.”
