An elderly driver was taken to hospital after crashing his car into a village hall in York today (Thursday).
The man, aged 90, was trapped in his car after the collision with Skelton Village Hall at about 11.45am.
Emergency services responded quickly to the incident.

Fire crews from York, Acomb, and Tadcaster, went to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said that the driver “had pressed the accelerator instead of the brake”.
The result was his Ford Focus hitting the village hall and house.
“The driver, who was medically trapped in the vehicle was walked out by paramedics and taken to hospital via road ambulance,” the spokesperson said.
“Crews stabilised the vehicle and made the scene safe. This incident was then handed over to a structural engineer.”
