This was the scene late on Monday night (27 January) after an accident in York.
A car left the A59 at Upper Poppleton in York and crashed into a tree.
Emergency services were called out at about 10.35pm. Police and paramedics attended, along with two fire crews from Acomb.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to free a woman from the car and hand them into the care of paramedics.
She was said to be suffering from suspected back and pelvic injuries.
The road was closed while the rescue operation took place. It had reopened by 1.23am.
