Car crashes into lamppost in York – Firefighters rescue woman from the wreckage
A car crashed into a lamppost in York early today (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to Fishergate at 4.08am.
They found an unconscious woman inside the car after it had collided with the lamppost.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Fire crews used hydraulic cutting gear to remove car door with female then exiting the car by herself.
“She was transported to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.”
