A car left the road and crashed into a hedge early this morning (Friday).
It happened shortly after 1am on Malton Road.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from York and Huntington responded to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision where a car had impacted a hedge.
“On arrival of the fire service crews, both occupants were out of the car. Crews used small tools to isolate the battery of the vehicle and were left in the hands of paramedics.”
The car came to its rest on its roof off Malton Road near Heworth Golf Course, close to the junction with Muncastergate.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received an emergency call at 1.06am this morning (31 December) to reports of a car in a hedge on Malton Road near Heworth Golf Course.
“An ambulance was dispatched to the scene where two occupants were checked over but did not need to be conveyed to hospital.”
