This was the scene on a York street this evening after a car crashed into a concrete barrier.
It happened on Penley’s Grove Street at around 6.30pm.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang as the white car drove into the barriers blocking through-traffic as part of the Groves trial scheme.
They said the driver reversed and then drove into the barrier again.
The front of the white car was badly damaged. The rear of a black car nearby was also damaged.
Witnesses said the driver walked from the car, but appeared dazed.
At least three police vans went to the scene. One man was arrested and taken away.
