Emergency services were called to a crash in Easingwold early this morning (Tuesday).
They went to the collision on Crabmill Lane at 3.06am.
The car was on fire and firefighters put out the flaimes using two hose reel jets.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The car had damaged a BT junction box.
“The incident was left in the hands of police and BT engineers. The cause is believed to be accidental.”
