A car lost control and aquaplaned into the central reservation on the A64 this morning (Wednesday).
It happened at Tadcaster East at 7.04pm, and firefighters from Tadcaster went to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews located the vehicle that had aquaplaned on standing water resulting in the vehicle hitting the central reservation and leaving the road.
“One male occupant was out of the vehicle and uninjured.
“Crews made the scene safe and left in the hands of the police. Crews then returned to the incident to disconnect the battery to allow the vehicle to be recovered.”
