A car left the road and hit a zebra crossing post yesterday (Sunday).
Police in York are appealing for witnesses and information about a the collision at crossing on Fawcett Street, near Toto’s restaurant, at around 12.12am.
It involved a blue Citroen C1 car which was found abandoned having mounted the kerb, causing damage to the zebra crossing post.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The car was reported to been driven erratically prior to the collision.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
