Many are smiling. Some are grimacing, as if they are experiencing the nervous tension before a York City match. Some are, well, panting.
And all are welcoming you to the York Stadium Leisure Complex. (The panting ones are dogs, just to be clear.)
They are the wall of faces, unveiled on a mosaic outside the stadium.
City of York Council invited everyone to submit their head and shoulders photo to create the mosaic.
Culture and leisure lead Cllr Darryl Smalley said: “We received over 500 submissions!
“Sadly some of the photos couldn’t be used but we appreciate everyone taking the time to take part and we hope everyone will be delighted to see the finished signs positioned outside the complex.
“We’d like to thank everyone for getting involved and we all look forward to welcoming residents, fans and visitors to the beautifully designed new Community Stadium site.”
