Spark York have launched their next art competition – which encourages artists to envision Piccadilly as a completely eco-friendly street.
The unique city centre venue is challenging creatives to imagine a green oasis in the heart of York, and the competition aims to spread the word on why it’s important to design urban spaces with the planet in mind.
Twenty finalists will be selected to have their artwork exhibited at Spark at the end of August.
The competition is open until Sunday 4 August 2024.
Other prizes for the competition include gift vouchers and the chance to attend an exclusive art masterclass.
Any and all visual 2D art mediums are welcome – such as painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking and digital art.
Submissions will be judged by an expert panel composed of Spark’s resident artists, including Leon François Dumont, Jessica Mallorie and Kat Olsson.
The competition is open to all ages and experience level – so grab your pencil or paintbrush or digital tool and let your imagination of a greener Piccadilly run wild!
