Not long to wait now before you can get ‘expertly crafted chocolate drinks’ in York.
We reported earlier this year that the chocolate drink retailer Knoops would be moving in to the former Boots Opticians store on Parliament Street.
It’s had a delayed opening, as the shop-front originally advertised that the store would be opening in September 2024.
But an opening date has now been revealed! Knoops is set to open in York on Friday 6 December.
“We’re really looking forward to opening our York store on Parliament Street,” a spokesperson for the business said.
Founder Jens Knoop opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex, in 2013 – after a lifelong passion for chocolate which started in his childhood in rural Germany.
According to the Knoops website: “The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu which offers chocolates to suit every taste and mood.
“This process is simple; choose your chocolate %, milk, and extra flavours like sea salt, orange zest or chilli to be made into a hot chocolate, milkshake or iced chocolate.”
It has 15 locations around the UK and six in London.
Knoops in York will offer takeaway drinks and sit-in availability, with plans submitted to City of York Council stating that there would be room for 17 people sitting at tables.
