What do you get for the person who has everything? How about a York City turnstile!
Bits of Bootham Crescent will be auctioned off at the end of the season – part of a range of events to mark the end of the stadium that has been City’s home for 86 years.
The club has played at Bootham Crescent since 1932, but moves to the new Community Stadium at Monks Cross in summer 2019.
To give supporters every opportunity to celebrate the end of an era in style, there are special dinners, a City heroes game and a chance to play on the historic turf.
All the events planned so far are below. More details of all these events, including dates, times, and prices, will be released over the coming weeks.
And a club spokesman said: “There could also be more announcements.”

End of an era banquet
This event will take place in a marquee on the Bootham Crescent pitch next summer. The evening will include a three-course meal, guest speakers, and a fund-raising auction.

Players past and present will be taking to the field for a special farewell game at Bootham Crescent. Come along and enjoy one final taste of the unique BC atmosphere.
Play at the Crescent
The club will be offering City supporters an opportunity to play football on the hallowed Bootham Crescent turf. Groups of friends, local teams, work colleagues, schools or youth organisations will be able to hire the pitch and live out their footballing dreams.
Moving home auction
Going, going, gone… pick up a piece of York City history in a special sale of memorabilia, fixtures, and fittings from Bootham Crescent. Supporters will be amazed at the range of collectors’ items that are likely to be available including turnstiles and dressing room doors!
