Bus driver injured in crash near York

This was the scene after a crash west of York yesterday (Tuesday).

A car and a bus collided on the B1224 at Bilton in Ainsty.

Both vehicles left the road. The bus stopped in a field and the silver Ford ended in a ditch at the side of the road.

Traffic officer David Minto said on Twitter said: “Fortunately there were no passengers on board the bus.

“A minor injury was sustained by the bus driver.”
