Burnby Hall Gardens & Museum have been awarded a prestigious 2024 Gold Award from Yorkshire in Bloom.
The gardens received the honour as a reward for the staff and volunteers’ continuous hard work at the East Yorkshire venue.
Judging ran through July, and the presentation event took place on the 26th of September.
The gardens received compliments from the judges, who stated they were, “maintained to a very good standard, sympathetic to its original designs.”
The themed garden areas were also noted as being planted well and blending into their natural environment.
The Assistant Estate Manager, Peter Rogers, said: “This is a fantastic achievement, and we’re really pleased to have received a Gold Award.
“It reflects the hard work and dedication of the team here at Burnby Hall Gardens and rewards the efforts of everyone involved.”
On top of their victory, Burnby Hall has some exciting plans in store for the festive season.
For the first time in its history, the Gardens will be lit up to mark a special occasion.
The Stewarts Trust, who runs Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum, will be celebrating its Diamond Jubilee.
The illuminate event will take place from Friday 23rd November to Saturday 21st December (Monday to Saturday).
