Browns has been targeted again by thieves.
The latest break-in happened early on Wednesday morning (29 January). Someone forced entry in to the Davygate store at 5.20am.
Browns was hit twice by burglars in September – with a cycling raider making off with £1,000 of perfume in one of the incidents.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said:
-
We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, we are appealing for information about any persons seen loitering in the area around the time of the incident, either as people left the city centre after a night out or were arriving in York for work.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.
