Christmas is coming to the East Yorkshire coast early this year!
In a brand new event for 2024, the Bridlington Ice Trail will transform the town centre with a series of spectacular ice sculptures on Saturday 16 November from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
With a theme of ‘Christmas on the Coast’, the free event will feature sculptures depicting Christmas and maritime scenes, reflecting Bridlington’s rich coastal heritage.
As well as the ice sculptures to enjoy, there’ll be lots of treats along the way too – with interactive displays and live ice carving.
There will also be fire and ice shows throughout the day, culminating in a sensational finale. These shows will be three 15-minute performances featuring ice sculpting using chainsaws and power tools, synchronised with a choreographed pyrotechnic display set to music.
Lots of festive fun will be happening in Bridlington that weekend, with the Christmas Food Festival taking place and the town’s Christmas tree being lit up too.
Trail maps for the ice trail can be downloaded via the Visit East Yorkshire website. The seasonal sculptures to be displayed include ‘Angelic Wings’ and ‘Bridlington Bay Lobster’.
