Tucking in to a custard cream takes on a whole new meaning from today.
Because Brew York have just launched Custard Cream beer – a pint inspired by the favourite teatime snack!
It is one of two biscuity brews created by the team which were launched by the brewery today.
So what inspired them?
“We go through so many biscuits here at Brew York HQ that it just made sense to use them as inspiration for our latest beer creations,” said MD and co-founder Wayne Smith.
“Mookies & Cream and Custard Cream are the perfect blend of two things we love – crafting great beer and indulging in classic biscuits.”
Custard Cream is a white stout that “perfectly captures the essence of the classic British biscuit. Expect rich vanilla, creamy sweetness, and buttery biscuit notes, all in a smooth, golden brew.”
It is 5.5% ABV.
And Mookies & Cream Imperial Tonkoko is a variation on Brew York’s popular milk stout.
This packs a punch, at 7.5%, and offers a “rich biscuit base with a sweet, creamy aftertaste—delivering the beloved flavours of our imperial milk stout with a delicious twist”.
Both are available in cans on the Brew York website, or on draught at the Brew York Taproom and Beer Hall on Walmgate.
