25 glorious years

This year is the 25th anniversary of Boyzone. Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch formed the band in 1993 after they responded to manager Louis Walsh’s advert in Irish newspapers.

To mark the anniversary Boyzone will release a new studio album and tour it across the UK in 2018.

The band have suggested that it would move away from the cheesy ballads they are famous for, and debut a more ‘urban’ sound.

They are due to play the second day of the two-day Music Showcase Weekend of July 27 and 28. The artist playing the Friday night has yet to be announced.

Last month it was announced that Paloma Faith was to headline the Summer Music Saturday on June 30.
