A body has been recovered by police in a York village.
After receiving reports from members of the public, officers went to the location, a wooded area down a bridleway at Riverside Walk in Nether Poppleton.
They were called to the scene on Monday, 2 September.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 7am on Monday 2 September we received reports of a body which was discovered down a bridleway at Riverside Walk in Nether Poppleton.
“We attended the scene and sadly discovered found the body of a man in his 40s. The man was identified and his next of kin were informed.
“We are not currently treating the man’s death as suspicious, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
