Biker trapped under caravan after crash

A motorcyclist was left trapped under a caravan after a crash in North Yorkshire.

Emergency services were called to the serious collision around 11am yesterday (Sunday). It happened between Butterwick and Foxholes, near Malton.

The motorcycle and a car towing a caravan had collided.

Firefighters from Malton, Filey and Scarborough released the biker from under the caravan using strops, stabilising equipment and ‘crewpower’.

The man was then taken to hospital via air ambulance.

The road was closed for some time during the operation.
