A motorcyclist has died in a crash on the York to Helmsley Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on the B1363 at Green Hill, Gilling East, just before 6.30pm on Saturday (29 July).
It involved a silver Vauxhall Agila and a black Honda CBR motorcycle.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Despite the efforts of members of the public, ambulance and air ambulance crews, the rider of the motorcycle sadly died at the scene.”
He was in his 50s and from the Leeds area. His family have been informed and are receiving support from police.
The road was closed until 2.50am on Sunday, to allow officers to carry out a full examination of the collision scene and for both vehicles to be safely recovered.
Police want to hear from witnesses and those with relevant dash cam footage.
