A motorcyclist died in a crash on a North Yorkshire road – despite the attempts to save him by members of the public.
It happened at about 5.30pm yesterday (Sunday, 14 August) on Beverley Road, Norton, close to the junction with Dairy Way.
A Suzuki motorcycle, travelling towards North Grimston, left the road and crashed.
The rider of the motorbike suffered serious injuries. He sadly died at the scene.
Members of the public rushed to the scene and administered first aid and carried out CPR until the arrival of paramedics.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage of the collision itself, or of the motorcycle involved prior to the collision, to get in touch.
