A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Sadly, the rider of the motorbike, an 18-year-old male, died at the scene of the incident.
“Both the driver of the car and passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.”

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who was driving in the area on the A19 around the time of the RTC who had a dashcam fitted to their vehicle, is asked to get in touch,” said the spokesperson.
