People queued up to get a first look and a goody bag as a big York store reopened in its new home.
Arts and crafts retailer Hobbycraft threw open its doors in a new location at Monks Cross Shopping Park, and gave shoppers a warm welcome.
The first 100 customers each got a goody bag at the official grand reopening on Friday.
Customers also had the chance to win a Digital Cutting Starter Bundle on the day, worth over £450.
A ‘Golden Ticket’ was hidden somewhere in the store, and the lucky customer who found the ticket was rewarded with a prize bundle filled with everything they need to get started in digital crafting, including a Cricut Maker 3 Machine, tools, cutting matts, vinyl and more.
Staff also hosted a range of crafting activities for all ages.
Hobbycraft moved out of its old Monks Cross home to allow a large B&M store to be created in multiple units on the eastern side of the shopping centre.
It is now settled into its new location next to River Island on the northern side.
The relocated Hobbycraft store offers a range of crafting products from art, baking, home craft, papercraft, knitting, sewing, kids’ crafts and model making to accessories for weddings, celebrations and much more.
It also includes a haberdashery craft area, a dedicated sewing space, and a workshop area which will host regular classes.
Store manager Kerry Parr said: “Our amazing store is packed with crafting materials to suit all ages and abilities, and beginners through to experienced crafters are all welcome to pop into the store and chat to our creative colleagues.
“They’re always happy to share their knowledge, tips and tricks.”
