It was a fast food staple in York for 25 years.
But soon, what was Wackers fish and chip shop could be home to a shop and five flats.
The chippie closed just over a year ago and has been empty ever since.

Under new plans submitted to City of York Council, developers Fountains Estates wants to create five flats on the first floor.
At present, there are just two flats upstairs. There would be two one-bedroomed flats, and three with two bedrooms.
Meanwhile, there would be changes to the ground floor so it could accommodate a shop, including the installation of a central door.
One of the three bay windows on the side would be bricked up, and a new smaller window created.
They also want to install a cash machine in one of the glazed panes on the front.
Planning documents state: “The proposal would result in a loss of a fish and chip shop restaurant and ancillary takeaway.
“However, Gillygate is endowed with a number of other independent cafes, restaurants, and takeaways, including fish and chips, which means no loss of cuisine or mealtime choice will occur.”
