A man was stabbed in an attack in a York village, prompting a response by armed police.
Officers were called at about 10pm on Saturday (6 May) to a report of the incident in Gregory Close, Skelton.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers, including specially-trained firearms officers, attended immediately.

“They located a man with a stab wound to his shoulder. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The injury is not believed to be life-threatening.”
One man, aged 36, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
He has been released on police bail while enquiries into the incident continue.
“Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be on patrol in the area to provide reassurance to local residents,” the force spokesperson said.
