Applications are now open for places on the free BrightSparks Academy digital marketing trainee course in York.
This programme, paid for by the European Social Fund, provides people with on the job training to help them improve their confidence, skills, raise their self-esteem and enhance their CV so that they can progress into other employment or educational opportunities.
The course runs for ten weeks, and trainees are allocated up to ten hours per week which are structured to fit around school hours.

It teaches trainees skills including building websites, designing and delivering digital campaigns, creating social media content and interpreting live client briefs.
Rachel Rhodes of BrightSparks said: “We are currently recruiting for the third cohort of the course following very positive feedback from previous learners, including university graduates who went on to kickstart their careers and parents that found the confidence to get back into work, amongst many others.

Interviews run from 20 September to 8 October, and the course starts on 11 October.
