With work on the flood embankment in St Peter’s Fields almost complete, the Environment Agency is now moving its focus to raising the flood defences on Almery Terrace in York.
The work will involve isntalling flood-resistant glass panels to protect the riverside properties on the banks of the Ouse.
They say they will need to close the path directly in front of Almery Terrace whilst they lift the panels into the Terrace gardens.
This means you can expect the path to be bloked at certain times between 26 October and 18 December and any closures will be signposted.
