Firefighters have tackled another car fire in Northallerton that was started deliberately.
They were called to Meadow Lane, Northallerton at 1.46am today (Tuesday).
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Northallerton responded to reports of an Audi on fire. Damage was confined to the engine bay.
“The cause was deliberate.”
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and other tools to put out the fire.
It follows a car and van being gutted by fire on Linden Road in Northallerton at 1.18am yesterday (Monday). Firefighters said it was also started deliberately.
Police have arrested two men and a teenager in connection with that incident.
