One of York’s most historic places to stay has had a stunning refurb.
The Bar Convent Guest House on Blossom Street, York has revealed its new look after a two-year renovation project.
The project includes the launch of seven brand-new rooms. All rooms have been refurbished with bespoke hand-finished furnishings, there is en-suite throughout, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, seating area and laundry facilities.
The Bar Convent is the oldest living convent in the UK, and the guest house combines modern facilities with original features in a historic Grade 1 listed building.
James Foster, chief operations officer at the Bar Convent, said: “We are thrilled to be able to unveil the recent renovations made to our guest house.
“The guest house has always been renowned for it’s unique location within this beautiful historic convent and for it’s warm welcome and award-winning breakfast.
“Following this extensive work, our new rooms have a fresh new look, while remaining sympathetic to this special heritage house, with all the facilities to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.”
