A serious crash partially blocked the A19 north of Thirsk this morning (Thursday).
Drivers reported traffic at a standstill due to the collision, which was at North Kilvington between the junctions with the A61 and the A684.
There were queues both ways from the A61 to Moor Rise. The road has now been cleared.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance also went to the scene.
At 9.20am, North Yorkshire Police said: “Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious collision on the A19 at North Kilvington, near Thirsk, which happened at around 8.45am.
“Highways have put in place a road closure and are diverting traffic away from the scene.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.”
At 11.20am, police declared the scene to be clear.
