Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in the Clifton area of York have arrested three men.
It occurred at a house on Baker Street, in the Clifton area, at about 2.15am on Tuesday 9 July 2013.
The woman occupant of the house, who is aged in her 50s, suffered serious but not life-threatening wounds to her head and ear during the incident.
She has been discharged from York District Hospital and is receiving specialist victim support from the police.
Following extensive police enquiries, officers arrested three local men – aged 41, 30 and 24 – in connection with the investigation.
The 41-year-old and 30-year-old men have been released on conditional police bail. The 24-year-old remains in custody for questioning while police enquires are ongoing.
Officers are still appealing for local people to come forward with any information that could assist the investigation.
