But then, it’s not every day that York plays host to the filming of a major Bollywood movie.
Commando 3 stars Vidyut Jammwal as the all-action hero in this high-octane thriller. He was on set riding along the King’s Staith cobbles.
The Reliance Entertainment movie was shooting in London before the cast and crew decamped to York.
Many local people doubled as extras, while having a drink in the Kings Arms beer garden.
The shoot is due to move on to other York locations soon, including Shambles.
