Milo the cat has been brought back down to earth thanks to Acomb firefighters.
They were called at 11.41am today (Monday) to Kellbalk Lane, Easingwold by an RSPCA inspector.
The inspector had asked for help rescuing a cat which had been stuck up a conifer tree for at least 48 hours.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Milo the cat was rescued by a crew from Acomb from over 20ft up the tree and brought safely down into the hands of his owner.
“The crew used working at height gear and a triple extension ladder during the rescue.”
