Mamma Mia! Racing’s back at York this weekend with a musical twist.
York Racecourse is hosting its first ever Tribute Weekend – adding a healthy blast of glam to the spectacular sport.
Exciting racing and feel-good live music is already a firm favourite at York, and the tribute weekend builds on that winning combination.
The gigs will follow the seven races on both Saturday and Sunday (21 and 22 May).
On Saturday, Mania – The Abba Tribute will take to the live music stage set just to the south of the Knavesmire Stand.
And on Sunday it’s the turn of Majesty Queen.
The racing is part of the Sky Bet Sunday Series for the first time from York – which means seven races each worth £30,000, and loads of competitive action.
ITV are screening the races, with the first one set for 3.30pm – meaning a last race of 6.40m is perfect for an evening concert.
