A man has been taken to hospital after a crash that closed the A1M in North Yorkshire today (Monday).
The A1M northbound between J50 (Baldersby) and J51 (Leeming Bar) was completely shut for while the incident was live – but is now fully open.
Traffic was also temporarily halted southbound to allow the air ambulance to land.
At one stage there was 3.5 miles of congestion.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said at 1.02pm: “We are working at the scene of this single-vehicle collision, in which a car overturned.
“A man has been taken to hospital for treatment.
“Please avoid the area if possible, and follow local traffic news for further updates.”
