A new four-day artisan market is coming to York city centre this week.
Little Bird Artisan Markets are bringing a market of unique and handcrafted local treasures to York.
It’s part of the city’s Yorkshire Day celebrations, and will be open on Parliament Street from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 August, 10am – 5pm.
Little Bird has artisan markets across North Yorkshire including in Acomb, Harrogate, Thirsk, Knaresborough, Ripon and Easingwold.
Rachael Maskell, MP for York Central said, “It is so fantastic to welcome so many brilliant homegrown, artisan traders to York City Centre for this special Yorkshire Market.
“I wish everyone a great four days trading, hope to see some of them joining York’s vibrant indie high-street scene in years to come.”
Some of the featured traders in the market will include A Little Dickie Bird, Paula Beaumont, Dan’s Pies, Tom Mankin, Rosie Flo, LDM Design, Sunflower Creation, KR Wood, Clayful Creations, and Cut By Design.
Michael Wilson, the artisan behind Cut By Design, said, “We have been trading with Little Bird for over a year now and we recognise and appreciate the immense effort Jackie and her team invest in curating successful markets.
“We have no doubt that this event will be the best yet, and we are eager to showcase our unique offerings to the community.”
The artisan market will run from 10am to 5pm each day along Parliament Street.
