A bar that serves bass rather than beer is coming to Selby this weekend.
The multi-sensory sound installation from music artist duo Working Boys Club is a bar that functions as a DJ set.
Working Boys Club are bringing their Serving Sounds bar to Selby Abbey on Saturday 21 September.
Ordinary bar items such as glasses, beermats, and even the odd bit of change will create sounds when touched on this special interactive bar.
There will be three sessions on the day at 11:45am, 1:30pm and 3pm. Taking place in front of Selby Abbey, audiences will be invited to join in as well as enjoying the live music – all for free!
The event is part of the newly-launched Now Then! programme, which aims to bring free or low cost events to Selby, Sherburn and Tadcaster.
The Working Boys Club have just finished taking their Serving Sounds bar on a summer tour – which included Glastonbury Festival and Secret Garden Party.
Now it’s Selby’s turn to join in the fun!
