York RLFC and York’s Chocolate Story have come together to create an exclusive line of chocolate bars, with half of all the profits going to St Leonards Hospice.
The unlikely collaboration revealed two tasty flavours to chose from, with the ‘Knights’ chocolate bars being salted caramel milk chocolate and the ‘Valkyrie’ bars plain milk chocolate. Each are wrapped with an amber or silver ribbon design and finished with a Knights or Valkyrie emblem.
After launching on Monday (29th July), the chocolates are available to pick up now from the York’s Chocolate Story and the York RLFC Club Shop.
Stuart Wood, York’s Chocolate Story general manager, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with York RLFC to launch these exclusive chocolate bars.
“With 50% of the profits benefiting St Leonard’s Hospice, we are proud to support the exceptional care and services the hospice provides to our community.”
James Wainwright, head of Fundraising at St Leonard’s Hospice, expressed his gratitude towards the support of the charity. He stated: “St Leonard’s relies on the generosity of our community, and it’s thanks to such support that we can continue to be here for the patients, families, and carers who need our care.”
A special launch of the new chocolate bars will take place at York’s Chocolate Story on Wednesday (7 August) from 12pm to 4pm. This event invites all to attend, and will feature both York Knights and Valkyrie players, plus plenty of chocolate!
