A brand new Restaurant Week is coming to North Yorkshire – and eligible businesses are being encouraged to sign up!
Restaurant Week offers diners the chance to try out eateries in their local area at a discounted price.
They have already proven to be greatly successful in York and Harrogate – with the popular event returning to York this month – and now it’s the turn of the Selby area.
The new Restaurant Week is set to take place across the Selby, Tadcaster, and Sherburn-in-Elmet area for the first time from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 October 2024.
The campaign aims to boost North Yorkshire’s hospitality trade, and is being overseen by Visit North Yorkshire.
Businesses across Selby, Tadcaster, and Sherburn-in-Elmet are being encouraged to sign up for the campaign and offer special set-price menus to customers – with the aim of increasing awareness of their business and attracting new customers during a typically quieter period.
One of the participating businesses already signed up to take part is The Drovers Arms in Skipwith.
Managing director Graham Usher welcomes the new campaign to highlight the wealth of restaurants in the area. He said: “We are delighted to be taking part and supporting the first Restaurant Week in Selby and the surrounding area.
“There is such an amazing choice of restaurants and eateries in the local vicinity and this is a great opportunity to bring them all together and showcase for a week to local residents what is available on their doorstep.
“At The Drovers Arms, we will be showcasing the wonderful produce that is available to us locally with a great value fixed price menu for lunch and dinner.”
