A happy hound after being rescued from the mud

This is Rufus the hound and he is very grateful to the firefighters of Selby.

He fell down a 10 ft drop and became stuck in mud in the river at Wistow.

After a successful operation, which shows that North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue is not just here for the fires, he was pulled up the bank and reunited with his owner.

His owner said “We are so thankful to Selby fire crew. Rufus is fine, chilled out and clean again!”
