Plans have been announced for a long running Christmas market for York.
Don’t worry if you’re checking your calendar in a panic, it’s still only August. But York Artisan Markets have announced they will be holding a festive market at the Designer Outlet later this year.
From 1 October through to the start of January, there will be a ‘proper’ Christmas market featuring products handmade in Yorkshire.
It will be located at the south entrance of the Designer Outlet, next to Yorkshire Winter Wonderland.
Since it opens from October, the market will cover some of the busiest days in the calendar for York Designer Outlet, including Black Friday weekend, October half term and of course the festive period.
Applications to join the market as a stall holder are currently open, and the details can be found via the York Artisan Markets Facebook page.
The dates for the York city centre Christmas market, also known as St Nicholas Fair, have already been announced.
It will return for its 30th anniversary between 17 November and 23 December.
Is it too early to say Merry Christmas? (Yes it is. Ed)
