The efforts of a York hair salon to make their clients “look and feel fantastic” have won national recognition.
Evolve Hairdressing is in the running for the title of Business Salon of the Year 2016.
The Bishopthorpe Road salon is one of only six from across the country to be shortlisted for the honour in the Salon Business Awards 2016.
Known as the “business bible of the salon industry” Salon Business magazine says the finalists impressed with their “super styling skills and savvy business sense”.
Owner Linzi Gill said she was thrilled by the nomination. She told YorkMix:
Just getting to the finals means the world to me as it recognises the huge amount of effort that the whole team at Evolve has put in to growing and developing the business and working to make our clients look and feel fantastic.
We pride ourselves on customer service and it is amazing to be recognised for this as being one of the best in the industry.

Established in 1999, Evolve moved to its current premises in 2014 after it was converted from a baker’s shop into a swish and stylish salon.
Owner Linzi has more than 30 years’ experience within the hairdressing industry and was one of the first hairdressers in York to gain the Wella Master Colour award.
Evolve’s national recognition is another honour for Bishy Road, reigning GB High Street Of The Year.
