Radio One legend Scott Mills is in York on Tuesday (June 9) as part of the University of York’s end of year Summer Ball.
The BBC radio presenter is to perform a DJ set at the York Racecourse as part of end of year celebrations organised by York University Students’ Union (YUSU).
He will be joined by headlining two-piece punk band Slaves, drum and bass music producer Wilkinson and indie rock band Eliza and the Bear.
The event follows a Graduation Dinner inside Heslington Hall and kicks off at 8pm. It will feature funfair rides, a silent disco, a casino and food vans.
Sam Maguire, the YUSU President, said: “I am really happy to have Scott Mills, he is an excellent addition to the line-up and I can’t wait to see him on Tuesday.”
Tickets are on sale at £36 and are open to University of York students and those who wish to attend alongside a University of York student.
Scott, who appeared in the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, came to York in September 2014 hosting a train filled with single people looking for love.
