Police have been tackling trouble in a York park.
Neighbourhood officers were in Hull Road Park last night (Monday) following an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “High vis patrols have been conducted on foot and in marked police vehicles.
“Numerous youths have been issued with section 35 dispersals and one e-scooter has been seized.”
A section 35 order allows police to exclude a person from an area for a period of up to 48 hours.
The officer must have reasonable grounds to suspect that the person’s behaviour has or is likely to contribute to crime or disorder, and members of the public in the locality being harassed, alarmed or distressed.
