The A19 is closed in both directions between Escrick and Riccall due to a crash this afternoon (Friday).
The slow moving traffic spans from Main Street in Riccall to the Escrick Park turn at Escrick.
North Yorkshire Police officers are at the scene and drivers are being turned around.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Please be aware there is a full road closure on the A19 between Riccall and Stillingfleet whilst we deal with a collision.
“Please avoid the area if you can, and use alternative routes where possible while emergency services work at the scene.
“Thank you for your understanding.”
First reported at 12pm, the AA website states: “Road blocked and slow traffic due to crash on A19 both ways from Main Street to Escrick Park.”
