Police are investigating a raid at a shop in York today (Friday).
A cordon has been placed around the Sunkissed Tanning Boutique on York Road in Acomb.
Police tape extends from both sides of the front of the shop and across the pavement.
Incident location
Officers are conducting an investigation at the scene.
Nearby traders said the cordon was in place when they came to open up this morning.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 5am this morning, we received a call to report a possible break-in at a shop on York Road.
“Within six minutes we had officers at the scene who confirmed that entry had been forced at Sunkissed tanning salon.
“A scene is currently in place to allow our crime scene officers to gather evidence which will support the investigation.
“We’re asking anyone who was in the area and saw the incident take place, or if they saw anyone or any vehicles acting suspiciously, to get in touch with us.”
While Sunkissed is closed, its neighbouring shops, Thomas The Baker and Kings Lites, are open as normal.
Pedestrians can still get past and the road is not affected.
